Setup and Optimization of a Joomla 1.0X Web Site

There's absolutely no reason to hire a Joomla developer or to buy special Joomla hosting. You'll pay way more than you need to.

Joomla has a host of components, modules, plug-ins and add ons that make setting up everything from a simple blog site to a complex commercial portal easy. The terminology might take some getting used to, but I found things that baffled me when I first started with Joomla easy, once I understood a few basic concepts.

Also, all the software for Joomla that's in the article are free.

If you can follow directions, you can set up and optimize a Joomla site, includinging automatic back-ups. Items on this page will link you to articles that will give you step by step instructions on setting up, optimizing and backing up your Joomla site.
